The Dark Energy Survey (DES) supernova program has completed the first 3 of its 5 years of observations. This multi-colour, cadenced search for high redshift supernova has already discovered over 1500 likely type Ia supernova (SNIa) candidates, with over 200 spectroscopically confirmed SNe Ia out to z=0.9. The ancillary data available to DES provides a unique opportunity to study and improve the standardization of SNIa. With NIR light-curves, high S/N spectroscopy and deep stacks providing photometric redshifts and detailed environmental information for every transient, the DES dataset will be unrivalled for studying the diversity and evolution of SNIa through cosmic time. I will present highlights from these projects and the survey to date: complete from the highest redshift superluminous SNe through to the first DES Hubble diagram.
