Objects at the bottom of the main sequence have roughly the same size at Jupiters. This greatly helps in detecting Earth-sized planets transiting them. I will describe SPECULOOS, a project currently in construction at Paranal Observatory. I will describe the results of an initial prototype survey that let us glimpse at the potential of SPECULOOS.
