New technologies are being used to get students involved in Astronomy-related subjects. One of these new technologies is “Google Hangouts”. The Spacelink Learning Foundation is using Google Hangouts to link school students to Space scientists up and down the country. With Google Hangouts, students can learn about new research happening in Astronomy and how it can affect their lives. They can also question scientists about their work and develop their critical thinking skills. The Spacelink Learning Foundation will present our work using Google Hangouts and discuss with other scientists and public engagement experts on how to expand the programme in the future.
